Combine the goodness of a quiche with the gooey cheesiness of a fondue for a baked appetizer treatYou don't need a classic fondue pot for this delicious appetizer - just an oven. It's a combination of a tasty quiche with the kitschy and fun cheese-based fondue. Easy to make and sure to be a hit. Baked Quiche Fondue1 garlic clove Use the peeled garlic clove to rub all sides and bottom of a 7x11x2-inch baking dish. Spread 2 Tablespoons butter on the sides and bottom, also. Coat the bread (one side only) with the remaining butter. Place them in a single layer on the bottom of the pan. They should fit snugly or can be trimmed to fill the space. Spread grated cheese evenly across all four slices. In a bowl, add the
eggs, milk, mustard, and black pepper. Beat well and pour over bread
slices. Allow to rest at room temperature for about half an hour. Heat
the oven to 350 degrees. Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until the top
begins to brown and the egg mixture is done throughout. Remove and cut
into any size for immediate serving.
