You can have your burritos and dessert, too! Enjoy these wonderful combinations of burritos and dessert fillings. If you haven't yet mastered crepes or don't want to mess with turnovers, grab a few burrito-sized tortillas and turn them into dessert. It's easy and the flavor combinations can be just as fun to create. Burrito Preparation First, the burritos
should be softened or they may break open when folding. Fillings can be a combination of favorite fruits such as bananas, apples, raspberries, and cherries. You may want to pre-cook some fruits before filling. Don't leave out other tasty treats such as chocolate, marshmallows, and crumbled cookies. When the dessert burrito is ready, be sure to include toppings: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, etc. Serve immediately. These are great for a casual brunch. How to fold a burrito: A burrito should
not be overloaded with filling. Place 3 or 4 tablespoons of filling
in a space about two inches from the edge facing you and about 2 inches
in from both sides. Roll up the front edge closest to you and tuck the
edge over the filling. Fold in both sides carefully and hold while continuing
to fold toward the opposite end. Lay the burrito on the cooking tray
with the outside edge facing down. |
