What a terrific combination - chocolate and peanut butter!Combining chocolate and peanut butter is nothing new and they show up together in all types of recipes. It's hard to choose a favorite, but this one is definitely a delicious one! Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie 9-inch graham cracker
crust (prepared or make your own) Combine cream cheese, peanut butter, and 1 ¾ cups sugar. Mix on low speed until thoroughly blended. Whip one cup of the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Add to cream cheese mixture. Pour into pie crust. The topping: In a small saucepan, bring 1/3 cup sugar and 2/3 cups whipping cream to a boil. Reduce heat immediately and simmer for about 7 minutes. Remove the pan and quickly stir in the chocolate and butter. When well-blended add vanilla and stir. Allow to cool and thicken. Spoon over pie and chill for several hours before serving. Top with crushed
peanuts if desired. |
