Enjoy all the flavor of a rich and creamy scalloped potato dish without a lot of the fat
Scalloped potatoes are the ultimate side dish and can even become the main meal with a few chunks of ham thrown in. However, if you want to reduce the fat content, here's an easy recipe that will win over dieters and high-fat hangers-on.
4-5 medium potatoes
(about 1-3/4 pounds)
Clean potatoes and
peel if desired. Halve and cut into thin slices. Blanch in a boiling
pot of water for about five minutes, then drain. In a separate bowl,
mix flour, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Let cool a few minutes to release and serve.
